Websites have embraced the WebP format because it helps them deliver pages faster and saves them money by reducing bandwidth costs. WebP can yield higher-quality images at smaller file sizes. The WebP format, introduced by Google in 2010, is a better option for both lossy and lossless images than either JPEG or PNG. Image compression technology has improved a lot in the years since that documentation was last updated. Contrary to what its documentation says, Facebook does support other file formats than the ones it has documented.

OGP metadata is consumed by all the big tech companies including Facebook, Google, and Apple. These three metadata items are used by external services to generate link previews for your webpages. The protocol also lets you express more metadata, but these three are its primary uses. OGP lets you specify a webpage’s title, description, and thumbnail image. By now, it’s become the primary data source for generated link previews across the web and apps. OGP is a pseudo-standard set of metadata tags you can include on your webpages to describe its contents. I migrated from the other tool just because of the same issue that was starting on October 1st, thinking that TAGZ could help me on that.The Open Graph Protocol ( OGP) was created by and for Facebook in 2010. Once configured, everything is working fine with Twitter Cards and Facebook, however Whatsapp that in theory is using the same OpenGraph data that Facebook is not working at all.
